Walking down Akerselva with Torchlight's, Oslo, Norway!
Once a year the Capitol of Norway(Oslo), arranges a torchlight walk down the main river(Akerselva) that runs through the city! This is a social concept they started about 7 years ago, and its become super popular!
I had herd many things about this walk, but this year was the first time I actually participated. You can start at one end, and walk down the whole river, or you can jump in where ever you want. The walk starts at night around 8 and it last til about 11.30. Along the river, they have arranged many different kinds of attractions like, art, sculptures, people performing, lights, concerts, food, and many more. Its a great adventure for young people as well as old. This year they had a special event with some huge dragons flying in the air controlled by a team of 4-6 people.
Walking down the river looking at all the lights and all the people gives you a good feeling. Everyone were excited to see the shows, and while you are walking, you can not stop wondering, what might be around the next corner.
Some of the art they had put together were incredibly cool, and it was definitively worth seeing.
This Event normally takes place in the fall, probably September, so if you are planing on going to Oslo, make sure to check what dates, and see if you can join this event!
I had a great time this year, and i am pretty sure i will do it again next year!
