La Sagrada Familia, Barcelona!

In 1883 they started building one of Antoni Gaudis masterpices. Today that is what we know as "La Sagrada Familia"( Den hellige Fanmilie). The church is among the most famous churches in the world and it is a huge turist atraction in Barcelona. What is special about the church, is that they started building it in 1883, and they are still not finished with it. It has taken them over 100 years, and they still dont know when it will be finnished, or if it ever will be!

Walking up to the church, you can start to se all the small details out side the church. The towers, the architecutre and the entrence all has different meanings and looks. The towers are inspired by different hveat sorts. Antoni Gaudi was verry creativ and used many different things in designing this church. He also used the house of bees, flowers and other things when he was drawing. Antoni Gaudi, died in 1926 and did not get to se what the church looks like today, he was only a live while a little part of the churc was built. During the spanish war most of the drawings and sculptures of the church was ruined, but they managed to save some that they reconstructed. They are still following some of his drawings today, trying to finish this huge project.

The Church is a spectacular and different view than what you normaly se when you enter a church. The roof in this church is extremmly high, and i think its higher than any other church I have been in. The details and the lighting inside the church is uniq, and it gives you a verry special sens of beeing. Its also said that he created this type of light to make it better to pray.

To get in to the church we paied 12.50€ and we got to se the inside of the church and the huge museum under it, where you can se his drawings, his sculptures and his history. I really found it interesting and I would deff go back some day soon.

If you are in barcelona, I recomend that you atleast go se the outside of the church, and if you have plenty of money and time, why not se the inside when you are allready there!
