Oslo - Trondheim. Norway by train.

The train runs through the most incredible landscapes. From Oslo, through Hamar along the lake Mjøsa - the largest freshwater lake in Norway and over the Dovre plateau, where, if you are lucky still can see musk, and finally to Trondheim city.

The train is hurtling forward, Mjøsa Lake is sparkling in the beautiful weather and over Dovre, we can still see snow on the peaks.
To travel by train in Norway is comfortable. And if you order NSB comfort seats it is even better.

I brought with me several books, and my laptop was filled with movies, but I did not open a book nor turn on my computer because the impressions are so strong. Waterfalls. High peaks and fantastic views.

If you travel from Oslo to Trondheim by train, you'll see two fine Norwegian cities, the largest and third largest, and you get to experience Norwegian nature at its best, while traveling between your destinations.

Also take a look at what I wrote in the NSB travelblogg during this trip, (only Norwegian) http://reiseblogg.nsb.no/2010/07/endelig-er-vi-i-gang-pa-vart-nordlige.html
