Bike tour in Norderhov and Røyse with three churches

The breeze touch my face with the smell of fall, and harwest. In front of me lies Tyrifjorden sparkling bright and in the east I see Gyrihaugen reflecting in Steinsfjorden. I change gears on my bike when i reach the top after passing over the long plain Steinssletta and head toward the hilly Røyselandet.the fields are colored in purple, green, brown and yellow from the vegetable and fruit production and in the distance, I see the tower of Bønsnes church.

Damtjern

Damtjern is a dammed lake in the forest east of Hønefoss and Steinsfjorden. The lake is very beautiful and its a nice place for swiming and fishing. (You can buy fishing card on SMS,you find instructions on the information board on the parking place). Damtjern is also a very good starting point if you want to explore Nordmarka, either by foot or with bicycle. You only pay 20 NOK for twenty-four hours of parking to the local ski club.

Mørkonga

If you are looking for a really steep walk, probably the best view over Ringerike and Steinsfjorden and a special nature experience then Mørkonga is the place to visit. :) Mørkonga is a crack in the mountain wall where you can climb inside the mountain to the topp. Mørkonga by it self is about 300 meters long and the path leading up to Mørkonga is ca 2 km , Mørkonga is easy climbing and no climbing experience is needed, but if you don't like steep walking this is not for you.

Mørkonga!

June 26,2009 me and two of my friends decided to walk Mørkonga to Migardkjenn and then a little further up to Gyri Haugen! We parked the car down by the road and started the hicking trip. This is a trip that is mostly just going uphill and it gets pretty steep. When you get close to the end, you actualy have to walk up a dent in the mountain. The mountain has splitt apart and made a path way that you can walk. There is also added a roap that you can use to hold on and pull yourself up with when the steps are really high.
